2 punnets S&A blackberries

1 ready-made tart case

100g flaked almonds

100g golden caster sugar

50g plain flour

1 tbsp lemon zest

2 tbsps lemon juice


This balckberry tart is so easy to prepare, using simple time saving ingredients, perfect serves with clotted cream or ice-cream on a warm day! 

  1. In a bowl, toss 2 punnets of  of blackberries, sugar, flour, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  2. Spoon this mixture into the cooled tart shell. Top with the remaining 1 cup of blackberries. Sprinkle 1 or 2 tablespoons white sugar over the berries, and then sprinkle thinly chopped cold butter on top, too.
  3. Place the tart on a rimmed baking sheet (to catch any juices) and bake for 30-40 minutes at 180C until filling starts to bubble. If crust starts to brown too much, place a piece of aluminum foil over the tart.
  4. Serve warm
